A Lovely Garden Party

Most people know Skamania Lodge for its dramatic views of the Columbia River Gorge. What a lot of people don't realize is that we have other, equally beautiful areas for outdoor events. This wedding took place in our Garden Patio and showcases the versatility of this unique space.

The Bride showed great creativity in bringing the Garden Party theme indoors by using the arbor in the entrance to the ballroom and adding glowing paper lanterns to the decor. This is truly a testament to how a bride can let her personality shine!

May Wedding

Tiffany and Danny were married on a beautiful May afternoon of this year and they couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. Blue skies and a warm breeze accentuated the stunning view of the Gorge in the background, as they pronounced their love and faith to one another. An Affair to Remember

Winter Weddings

You can have the wedding of your dreams and stick to a budget too! A winter wedding is the perfect way to save money while still having a romantic and beautiful wedding. Imagine cozying up to your new hubby in our beautiful Gorge Room while gazing at snow glazed mountains...Also, if you host your wedding in December, half the decorating is already done for you. With Bloomsbury of Kanaka Creek Farm Florist right down the road in Stevenson, WA there is never a shortage of exquiste floral work around the Lodge. Their work incorporates the natural elements of our beautiful northwest surroundings and has a sort of unique, almost european flair which always results in gorgeous work.

Tip: If you want to serve some liquor during your reception but don't want to go over your budget, consider serving a signature drink that could be available for a limited time (ex. during the cocktail hour). The signature drink can even tie in with your theme or color pallette.

Lucky for us, we have a fabulous A/V Company called Swank that hangs its hat right here at the Lodge. Their creative efforts have lent to some of our more awe inspiring reception decor...who knew what the power of just some colored lights could do!

In the thick of wedding season...

Wedding season is in full swing at the Lodge! Couples have been expressing themselves with themes ranging from Old Hollywood Glamour to Traditional to Contemporary Romance and every wedding has been stunning. With September and October right around the corner, we're looking forward to more jewel tones and the rich, deep colors that fall weddings bring.
